Stoke Newington CC

Stoke Newington Cricket Club is a young club, established in 1999. We started as group of dads coaching with their children and have grown significantly. The club now has over 300 colts, ranging from u7s to u19s and have built a reputable adult section (which I currently oversee, with the our cricket coordinator).

The adult section started in 2011 and played in local leagues for 3 years, winning it twice. With the ambition of the club and the serious talent we have coming through our colts section (4 age groups are county champions), we decided to apply to the Middlesex leagues. Since 2015, when we played our first season in the Middlesex leagues, we have won back to back titles. In 2015, we also won a Middlesex wide competition, the MDL shield.

Our 1sts are in Division 2 of the Middlesex Championship, our 2nds in Division 3 and our 3rds will play in the North-East London Cricket League, while we are also running a midweek team in the Victoria Park Community League.

This year we have teamed up with the Chris Gayle academy and will have an overseas coming over for the season and we also have one of the lead coaches and pioneers for the Academy as our lead coach.

Our Seniors training sessions take place on Monday evenings from 7pm to 9pm at Bridge Academy, Laburnum Street E2 8BA. Level 4 coach, Donovan Miller (who also coaches the Essex 1st team and is bowling coach for the CPL’s St Kitts)
